Being new to Answerbank, I wonder on average how many hours over 24 hours do you spend on the site using laptop, tablet, PC, phone or whatever? Are you always logged in or do you allocate yourself certain slots to look in?
I am thinking maybe half an hour early morning, and an hour or so early or late evening. Non-working people will, I suppose, have more options.
doesn't it depend on how many questions you have (and can answer?)
although it may ostensibly look like a chat site, it's really a site to ask questions and receive answers
Quite often look in as time allows. Quite often look out after 5-10 mins if nothing interests me or the "usual subjects" are sounding forth, heaven help us.
When I first joined, I seemed to be on it all the time, and household chores were neglected.
Now I log on after checking my emails and stay logged on until I go to bed.
I just look in when I get the chance.
This is on a PC.
I never log out...just close the window, which I didn't used to do when things were busier.
I spend upwards of 30-40 minutes on site several times a day. Mostly reading...I don't participate as much lately.
I think I will follow your advice Willim 51, especially as my work involves quite a bit of time on computer through the day. Maybe I will spend more time on Answerbank at weekends.
