Just had my hair done, but its not right, my new jeans and shoes i bought yesterday, today, they dont fit? I'm putting on weight, my nails keep breaking,M&S knickers are not the same. Over to you.:>) //
I'm sure you are aware of how primate groups groom each other as a way of social bonding.
People think they are looking for, and eating fleas, but in fact monkeys don;t have fleas, they are finding skin and salt flakes and eating those.
But I digress.
The point of grooming is a social ritual.
As humans, we still need to bond, but we don;t do it by grooming, we do it in conversation.
Women chat about the things you have mentioned, and more - not because they expect a 'solution', it's all about hearing themselves say the chat, and knowing others hear it, an actual response is not required.
Men do it by telling jokes, talking about football, and so on, and again, a response is not actually needed, just hearing it said is what's required.
So when a woman does her bonding chat to you, because you are the only audience around, simply accept what she is doing - socially bonding, and don't do what men always want to do - advise a solution and then move on to something else.
You just have to listen, comment occasionally, and everything is fine.
