Apparently the front page of Saturday’s Times newspaper had an article on how to live it up while you're broke – so to help ABers out, below are a few of the handy tips to save you money (from the Times article).

• Don’t shoe the back hooves of your horses
• Buy your champagne from Aldi
• Try this scam, take your dirty laundry to a hotel and demand that they clean it for you while you wait in the hotel bar for it to be done

With regards the last tip, besides being illegal I’m sure the hotel would ask for your name & room number, and after a few drinks at the bar it would have been cheaper to launder the clothes at home.

Gulliver is correct, and added to that the equipment to take out the alcohol without damaging the taste too much is very expensive.

Demand affects price, too - the fewer units expected to be sold, the more profit they need to make on each unit.

Gulliver paying to have the booze taken out, doesn't make sense to me lol. Piggynose yes I have been in a few of them and no I have nothing against them.
