have just sent me an email detailing strike action - I have no idea why or how they have got my email address. Is it a scam?

I winder if LandF thinks they are been helpful.
You may have used them before.'
Cant see why its a scam unless theres link s to click- don't
You can jsut look on there website (not via alink) if you neeed to know strike dates

No never used them and rarely use a train so don't need to know.
It is probably genuine (there is strike action coming this week) but as to how they got your e-mail address it's a mystery (although e-mail address are quite freely traded across the internet by businesses

All his stuff about "we care for your security/data" etc is all bullsiht.
I have had one too but I use SWR and it was genuine.

Usually they say something like 'you are receiving this email because.... but there is nothing like that and I wasn't going to click on 'unsubscribe' just in case.
I had the same email. I did buy tickets earlier this year
