Just into a new season, EFL the highlights coverage has seen a big change at ITV. No studio "experts". Just an introduction to each game with a short interview afterwards, then on to the next game. None of this "should have", "could have", "would have" gubbins. BBC take note. Stop wasting our money on meaningless studio talk.
Not all of us are footballing experts - like yourself perhaps the “talk” especially these days focuses on aspects of a game that might otherwise have been missed by the likes of me. I like that. Not everyone does.
I normally record any TV highlights so that I can skip the pundits (especially Lineker and Co). Trouble is, that doesn't mean there's more footie to watch. :-(
Generally, football can be quite boring to watch. That might sound sacrilegious but it’s true, especially if one already knows the result.
That’s one reason MOTD does analysis. I wonder if the ITV programme now shows more football. Or has been shortened
