My Fox

Tonight I managed to get a picture (through the window) of my "pet" fox. It's only a youngster but calls regularly for a snack. I have occasionally caught a glimpse of an adult (Mum or Dad), it's huge, but rarely calls, I only see it in passing.

A friend found that a fox had gotten into the chicken run and had killed two of her girls.

A neighbour came and offered her his shotgun to kill it. Or kill it for her.

My friend was horrified, she said that it was her responsibility to ensure her own chickens were safe from the Fox.

A friend of mine lived in a house with an enormous garden, the bottom third was a copse where foxes lived.
She fed the foxes regularly and they would eat and play round her on the lawn whilst she took photos and videos, some she published.
A photographer contacted her and he visited to take photos himself.
The best photo my friend ever took was of two foxes sat on her lawn watching this photographer set up his hide just a few feet away.

Foxes are quite beautiful animals but they are destructive ... farming friend had hens killed, also lambs but she said "that's nature for you".
