Can anyone tell me what criteria a pub/restaurant has to meet to be classed, and to advertise as a gastropub? Or does anyone know of an organisation i can contact to find out this information??
It definitely is not a chain. Personally I hate the term - it is often applied to establishments with pretensions that have just had a re-fit (complete with obligatory - in - 2006 wooden laminate flooring) and now charge silly prices because they've re-invented e.g. bangers and mash.
