4 weeks on, I was wondering if anyone had breathing trouble (oxygen is okay 95/96) and a rubbish voice? I feel like I need to clear my throat all the time, and I have a range of about five low notes. I didn't lose my voice or get laryngitis, or have a cough so I'm not sure why I have this vague hoarseness. Any ideas how I can get better?!

Give it time.

Take it as an excuse to lie on the sofa and watch tele.

Take paracetamol, fluids and, if you can keep it down, whisky.

Hope you are feeling better soon, Scarlett.

I'm dealing with a similar thing at the moment, I don't know how to get rid of it. Ice Cream seems to help a bit though.

I've had it twice, first time like a mild cold, second time didn't even know I had it just had a test because err indoors had it.

Unconvinced I've ever been 100% since. Swear my vocal range has contracted a little, especially the top end, and not uncommon to feel I need to clear my throat. Nothing drastic, but noticable.

It's such a horrid thing. Not like standard flu/cold which does vanish. Who on earth would create such a monster?

And to think many naysayers dismiss it casually as "just another flu to get used to" - it obviously was (and is) a very dangerous and chronic virus with unpleasant after-effects.

So's flu, but the only solution is to get on with life and stop panicking about it. No point in crying over spilt Wuhan lab sample leaks.
