Good morning, a very interesting offering by Chalicea with “Strauss work?” in the Crossword Centre.My grid is almost complete, but my weakness persists with discovering the misprints. Help with the following will be appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Ok, that's clear, I have the CA ( California) site of the GGB, that makes 18 cells to shade. I am looking for the final 8. Is part of it in 12d: If so, how do I account for the rest?

I'm sure everyone is fed up with answering questions on this now, but I'm having trouble with the shading. I have the two structures, the ocean and the abbreviation for the state, but that comes to 24 cells. Not 26. What am I missing?

Cloverjo, I appropriately shaded the structure itself (with the state at the end) and the two towers. That gave me the right number (I think there were overlapping letters).
