Çok teşekkür ederim, DTC

i̇f it's the cold/virus that's been going around, take care, pasta. I had four days of fever, day 2 the worst but my appetite and call for a glass of vino weren't affected. However, two weeks on the occasional sneeze and I am still sniffly.....

Red, is puss OK?

DT...just feels like the start of a cold. Drippy nose and scratchy throat.

I've upped the vitamin c and d 😉

Question Author

Unfortunately she found our trip away very upsetting and is struggling to settle again.

At 17 her legs are beginning to wobble and she cries for no reason and is very very demanding

I hope she's getting extra cuddles.

It's very common for eldery cats to cry at night and get confused.  Vets told us it's dementia.  Yes, needs cuddles and I'm sure she gets them.

Question Author

Oh yes but she wakes me up constantly walking over me to get into the position she wants and must have

Of course Red.  She's Boss!!

But rather that than elderly MILS  ;0))

Question Author

We just had a call from that quarter!!! God help us!

Good luck!

Red, I don't want to alarm you but I think you should get her tested for Hypertension.  It's quite common in older cats, my Maggie had it.  She really should see a vet to either rule it out or get treatment.  She probably has high BP but please google it IF you haven't heard of it.  Good luck to puss.  xx

Question Author

She was at the vets the week before last for testing and the vets said she is fine just getting old

Question Author

But thank you

OK that's good.

Question Author

Unfortunately LB at 17 her body is just letting her down and I know I will have to make that call in the next couple of months

My Maggie lived until just over 20 years which amazed me.  I'd been on holiday and when I got home my daughter said M had been unwell but she didn't want to spoil my holiday by telling me.  Maggie hid under the book shelves huddled up and crying out. At midnight we went to the vet who diagnosed Hypertension and she was PTS while I held and stroked her.  Her brother had been killed on the road at 10 years old so she did well bless her.
