rafah was previously designated a safe zone for civilians by the IDF and there is nowhere else in gaza to flee

what will happen to them?

You're right Naomi, but that doesn't excuse Israel if they decide to commit atrocities of their own. Hamas fired the first shot, but Israel is now the one with their finger on the trigger.

It doesn't excuse anyone, mozz, and the human cost of the situation is both horrendous and tragic in anyone's book, but Israel is fighting for its very existence and stopping won't make that threat go away.

I  dont think  it  is a decision. Firing a rocket grenade into  a car, and killing the passingers except  the child who later died, I think was an action on the  field. I dont think they decided to fire on a car and create orphans of  the children.- ooh  and  make sure it  was on video.... ( that was about 1,998 children ago) - lots of liberation and victory since then!

Hamas Ministry of Health never disclose how many Gazans, both innocent men women and children,have died under their subjugation and cowardly regime. Who has millions of litres of fuel stashed away in their protective tunnels whilst the hospital operating generators run out. Hamas knows that there will be retaliation if they indescriminately fire rockets into Israel. Who does Hamas use as the aunt sallys and cry foul when they deliberately sacrifice innocent Gazans by herding them into rocket launch sites. Hamas have their protective bunkers deliberately sited under hospitals,schools and mosques. No room in those for your ordianary Gazan though is there?

The victim never makes the assailant do anything.  The Israelis may say look at the thousands Hamas has made us kill.  The blood of innocents is on Israeli hands.  No excuses, a simple brutal fact

Hamas struck the first blow of this particular war, and yes, they are terrorist scum, but it doesn't give Israel free reign to commit whatever atrocities they wish. They are still responsible for their own actions.
