Is it usual to tip the driver?

If I was getting an Indian or Chinese meal I'd tip the delivery man a couple of quid.

If I order via UberEats it allows me to add a tip with the order.

Normally I give no tips.

I often tip my Waitrose grocery delivery person depending how helpful they've been.  Or what sort of mood I'm in!  Usually £10 - £20.  Most of them but not all don't want to take it although Waitrose does allow it last time I checked.  Being disabled it is so helpful if they bring it into my kitchen and unload it onto the worktops.

I don't tip but like Rowan will offer a hot/cold drink on a cold/hot day.  I think if we had the same driver all the time I would at Christmas etc, but generally no.

The same driver normally delivers our heating oil, so he gets a Christmas box.

We used a supermarket delivery service during lockdown and we tipped them then. Rarely order online now and don't tip unless maybe it's the middle of a snow storm  or something.

None of the delivery companies here.
