EE sent us their solution to the above issue after a great deal of fuss. This consists of a battery the size and weight of a car battery that has to be connected to the router during a power cut. It will give approx one hour of phone calls.
Frankly for us it is as much practical use as a chocolate teapot as the router and phone line into the house are not easily accessible and groping around in the dark in my deceased sons bedroom is unimaginable.
sorry Chris I have tried and failed to do links and their is no question as such. I am just venting my anger and frustration at BT. As you can guess there is a complaint pending
