Yes I've read it and one of the most alarming things is that (and I hope I got this right) we're told that organic chickens and factory chickens are put in the same VAT of hot water to remove the feathers, therefore scum from non organic ones will contaminate the organic ones.
I've stopped wasting money on organic chickens now and eat good quality ones from my local butcher.
Another thing....we can buy those tiny little gem lettuces - this is because lettuce is sprayed with so much pesticides that layers and layers of leaves have to be peeled off. Also it mentions thhe dangers of pre-packed salads & lettuces so I stopped buying mixed salad/lettuce.
Now I've read this posting, I feel I need to re-read the book because it also raises ethical questions about manual labour being transported around the UK ( can't remember of it's illegal)
