...that there was talk of moving parliamentary sessions from Westminster to somewhere more salubrious.

I don't know how the river smells now but would it be as injurious to health as it was then?

I see the rowers have kinda jumped on the bandwagon - Oxford blaming the Thames for making one of their crew sick.

And now the smell from the HoP is so bad, they are thinking of moving the Thames, boom boom.

I would hate to live in London.

I live in a city centre - the city has less than 48,000 people.  It is beautiful and peaceful and is perfect for me.

Well, the last time I walked on it, it seemed ok to me. 😊

It gave plenty an excuse to drink mother's ruin though. Think Hogarth. 😄

the river Thames is one of the (if not the) cleanest city centre rivers in the world .

it has got so much cleaner ecently even encouraging dolphins back

however the recent heavy prolomged rainfall has increased polutants in all major english rivers 

 

This was the reason they decided to build the sewers under London. A classic example of politicians only deciding to do something when their quality of life is directly affected

The stink from outside the Palace of Westminster is now drowned out by the stink of corruption from within.
