Mine is lure.  When I say it, it sounds really ugly and rhymes with 'sewer'.  Allure is even worse.

There’s a wonderful Monty Python sketch  about the pronunciation of odd British names.

A character in the sketch is named Raymond Luxury Yacht. As he explains, “My name is spelt  ‘Luxury Yacht’ but it’s pronounced Throatwobbler Mangrove.” 😄

Shoulder I pronounce it like soldier

Many moons ago I lived next door to a lovely lady in her (then) eighties who was a classic in mispronounciation.

Examples are 'I shop in Woolsworths'.  'I am travelltin to Birminum'. 'I do like a mans voice choyer'.

RIP Gwen.

Anyone remember this?

There is a town in Norfolk called Wymondham that is pronounced Wyndham.
