It will be the same mob who will flit from net zero to gasa to defending the illegal immigrant invasion. Don't they ever give it a rest? Absolutely sick of them.

i mean, dont get me wrong, these 'protesters' are utter knobs!

That’s Gare du Nord, I said to myself; the gateway to the edgier banlieues has always been sketchy.

The gare du nord has always been a bit - chancy, coloured, razzy. Isnt that where Alice de Janzy ( Sarah Miles)  shot her faithless lover ( see White Mischief) ?

( fastes gun in the Gare du Nord, the wags quipped. A one liner better than some of the  ones I read here)

bednobs //arent you an immigrant khandro, who enjoys the luxury of living between different countries but want to deny other people the same pleasures?

is it different cause they arent good christians like you that want to move to a different country?

what happened to love thy neighbour (or does it have a caveat)//

What a nasty, tiresome post. I'll start at the bottom Afghani Muslims & sub-Saharan Africans are not my neighbours, if you want them as yours, you are welcome to have them as such.

Secondly, I think it fair to say there is a marked difference between my position here and that of an illegal economic migrant. Yes, I live in Germany but have German family members of countless generations.  I have contributed quite large sums of money to the local & German economy & given, & still give, employment to a lot of people - and also pay taxes in the UK.

And thirdly, I'm not a 'good Christian', in fact I'm a very bad one.

Khandro, thanks for the link.  When you said 'uncontrolled globalisation' I was thinking more of the demise of business and industry which is why I questioned it.  I am on record here saying many moons ago 'Poor Paris'.  That's been happening for a long time.  It's heart-breaking.

Bednobs, you may be affronted by the suggestion that Khandro doesn't want these people for neighbours but neither do I.  Nowhere is ever improved by their presence - quite the opposite.   That's why their homelands are what they are.

im not affronted in the slightest.
