As to me, I was living and working in Brussels and I wandered down one time to near the Grand Place, just on the Centrale side, to partake of pizzas and wine - with seven women, including three close friends. A very boooozy lunch and we all departed. Later in the afternoon, I phoned my closest friend - she still my closest female friend - and asked who actually paid?

We rapidly realised that none of us had! Effectively, we had done a runner. Being the closest to the restaurant, I went down there after work and settled up, K reimbursing me later from her 'collection' of dues, one very grateful Pizzeria owner, I hasten to say.

A little embarrassing all around though and still talked about when some of us get together!

Over to you - but what plonkers this couple from Port Talbot are?

Inadvertently. While in sorrento we went on a coach trip to Ravello. The coach stopped at a cliffside tavern where we were given a set meal with the instructions to return to the carpark in an hour. We ate our meal and decided to have a wander up the road. Suddenly we heard shouting and two waiters in pursuit - the meal had not been incuded in the price of the ticket and they thought we were doing a runner.
