Why Is Death An Enemy.
If we become seriously ill, do we just accept the condition and give up? No. Usually, we visit a physician and perhaps take medicine to combat the disease. In fact, we do all we reasonably can to avoid dying
The Bible says regarding humans that God has “put eternity in their heart. ” (Eccl. 3:11)

Locust. why are you making yourself superior to our grand instructor and creator when he formed the universe with his awesome power?. we cannot even make a blade of grass. so you make yourself foodless in the face of our grand instructor and to be honest you fear death as much as I do. because it is not in us. and you do, the same as I do, I go to a physician, to get his opinion on any illness we have .
Ransom answer. With your knowledge of the scriptures. you keep telling me. you cannot see. the importance. of that Ransom. so - why did God use ransom in his diary?. he said this. why did he have to use another human? equal human. Adam was human so Jesus had to be human to equal a ransom? .to save some of our lives for the many? without that ransom, humankind could not be saved because of their disobedience including us. I would have thought better of you. and you cannot see, our creator was the victim, the injured party. your so-called crooks. but our creator paid that Ransom. through his son. every single human. On this earth. Without ransom?, no human could be cleansed, of their sins of disobedience.
John 3,16.17
American Standard Version. act 24. 15 having hope toward God, which these also look for, that there shall be a resurrection of the just and unjust.16 Herein I also exercise myself to have a conscience void of offence toward God and men always . Malachi 3:16.17
"we cannot even make a blade of grass. so you make yourself foodless in the face of our grand instructor"
It's me who digs my plot, sows seeds and looks after the plants. Occasionally a neighbour might give me a hand, but god does nothing (why should he? He doesn't need to eat)
Not only does he not help me, he has never even given me advice or friendly tips.
Locust, please stop quoting the Bible to me. I know what's in it - I've read it several times and it doesn't impress.
Why am I making myself superior to your grand instructor? He's not mine. Because his record speaks volumes about his nature - a monstrous megalomaniac, spiteful, cruel and unjust - and as a less than perfect human being my moral code far outstrips his.
If you really want to know what I think, I think he was probably a visitor from another planet. Perhaps you should think about that.
One day a man stopped beside a beautiful garden. He saw the gardener and called to him,"that is a magnificent garden". "Thank you said the gardener I've spent the last twenty years building and tending it. The visitor said "no doubt with a little help from our Lord". The gardener replied, I'm not so sure about that, you should have seen it when he looked after it by himself.
Atheist reminded me of it.

There's a ransom involved ? Who or what has been "kidnapped" ? Surely not committed by some deity ? Not by any righteous one anyway.
If Jesus gives humans hope in the promise of resurrection it can only be the example of his own survival after bodily death. Something we can then, if we choose to, use to believe that we all must continue. It makes no sense whatsoever to conclude that his bodily death achieved any saving for the rest of us. There is no sensible indication that it would, no logical argument that it might. IMO it is clearly a fantasy thought up as part of certain religions. (All religions make guesses to fill in the bits they have no evidence for.)
As for allowing us to live again on a perfect earth free from war, famine, and disease. Why ? If your spirit has grown and moved on to a better, spiritual place; if this planet survives to finally be some kind of perfect paradise, why return rather than stay in the spiritual realms ? Again it makes no sense.
Stay where the love is unconditional, where you are in bliss instead, and let the Earth be.
Unsure what your last sentence has to do with that before it.
OG dont even try: this is AB
only crooks demand ransoms. Keep it clean please. I thought this was full on 1 Corinthians 15 55 - "Oh death where is thy sting -oh death where is thy victory?" - perhaps with a passing nod at "Let the dead bury the dead" Mt 8.22
(St Paul - kinda needs knowledge of the views on death of the people he was addressing ( er Corinthians).)
I certainly would NOT say Christianity was a funerary religion in the same sense as Ancient Egypt. Nibyt or Nebw (Komombo) the priests tried to mummify every crocdile they found.
sandyRoe, unless you're a Jehovah's Witness you'll be dead so no aches and pains. They will enjoy full health.
