Jude Bellingham may be a good footballer but why on earth did he have to make an obscene gesture in front of millions of TV viewers. These footballers are supposed to be role models for our future young players and if that type of disgusting conduct is acceptable then we are in a sorry state.

It was a stupid, rude gesture made in the heat of the moment.  He'll probably be fined, but if he misses a match, so be it.  I'm sure he'll be more circumspect in the future.

Thank you for your responses, I was less than a minute off of winning a considerable (for me) sum of money on England losing.

My answers were in reply to questions asked about what he had done and also the interview he gave afterwards.  It may be 'Much Ado About Nothing' but it sets a bad example to youngsters.  I suppose in football it doesn't matter what you do really as with Zouma of West Ham who kicked his cat I see they made him captain of the team.
