Help me find what my plant is

I have a plant growing is approx 6 feet tall, with thick stems huge leaves and lots if reddish purple flowers any idea what it is?

Sounds like a triffid to me.

Is it a malva sylvestris?

They come in various shades from pinks, dark reds and purples. We have them in our garden and they look fabulous, they're also very easy to grow from seed.
