hamster names?

Hi everyone, I told my 7 year old daughter that if she stopped sucking her thumb i would get her a hamster and rotastak pink palace for her birthday,her birthday is in november and she has asked me to think of some names, preferably for a girl hamster.

my daughters had one called Snowball, my sons where called; Beckham, max. Boy hamsters are more docile than girls.

we let the kids pick the the name hence 'Spot'. he is black and white and looks like a tiny cow. Bless.

We have just started feeding a stray cat who is black and white and they want to call him 'spot' as well.

Agree about the plastic cages, a previous hamster chewed out of his overnight once!

Have had hamster called Marty, Jerry, Albie (he was an albino) and Goth (he was black), current hamster is called Dennis. Also had a rat called Bailey.

Have a family tradition of wierd pets names inc cats called monty, tinkerbell, dilly (short for dilwyn), pooch, jasper and jinks.

They were all boy hamsters though so not sure about girls names.

gotta be something princessy like Ariel, Cinderella, Aroura (sleeping beauty, also dont know how its spelt!), belle, jasmine, snow white

Our hamster is called Bongo, one before that was Trent.
Do you know what you are letting yourself in for, cleaning out etc.... my daughter said she wouls do it...still waiting for that to happen.

As for cages ;

1. Yeah, DON'T get one with lots of tubes! Apart from now being able to get the hamster out, one simple knock of the tube and the whole thing comes flying off (from memory).

Also, get one that looks strong and safe. For example, i got one with a sort of compartment where my hamsters went into to get their food. BIG Mistake. Somehow it would always come off and i remember yelling for my Dad while i held the hamster back and grabbed the compartment in the other hand!

3. Names... I'm not sure, but i like the ones like Hammy the Hamster, or something like Hammy XV11. Or Landgrabb XV1 - lol that was from the Sims 2!

But yeah, names... yeah don't take any notice but please please please please please remember about the cage!!!!!!!!!!!
