post pregnancey symptoms?

my cat was fat and disapeared for 4 days and now has returned with a hanging fluid like bulge on her stomach,could she have had kittens but returned without them? and passed what age do they stop being fertile because we inherited her but thinks she is about 9yrs.

I would imagine if she'd had kittens her teats would be raised and she would feel tender under her stomach. I'm not sure though, the best thing might be to get her checked over by a vet, they would be able to tell you if she'd been pregnant. Phone them first and see if they think you need to take her in.
