She really was brilliant.  First saw her in 'The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie', always good - then she was always around, I remember her with Diana Rigg in an Ag. Christie TV 'Evil Under the Sun'.  Both brilliant, both, sadly gone.

She delivered one of the all time greatest put downs in Evil Under the Sun. As Daphne Castle (talking about Arlena Arlena Marshall - Dame Diana Rigg's character), she said:

Arlena and I were in the chorus of a show together, not that I could ever compete. Even in those days, she could always throw her legs up in the air higher than any of us... and wider.

Still laughing at that forty-two years later.
