Me and the bf are getting bitten! We have 2 cats - i am adament they have not got fleas as have not seen any! The bf says its the cats!!
So....the cats have been tablet treated and flea powder put on the carpets - i am still being bitten but i am now sat at my desk and somethings bitten me!!! Is it a flea or what???
AND the bf hates the litter tray smell (its only until the kitten is old enough to go out then both cats can go outside for poopys!!), i put odouriser in the bottom but it still smells after they have used it! It has a lid....what more can i do!!!

thanks divegirl but i need a bit of advice about the fleas and the tray!! i will sort the bf out later my kittys always come first :-)
You can buy frontline drops and spray from the vets, expensive but v v good. I use it all the time on my 2, and not had any of the little b*ggers for ages.
My two cats had/have fleas too, we've tried allsorts, frontline, new mega expensive flea collars, flea shampoo, powder etc, flea bombs in each room and still getting bitten..our legs look like dot to dot puzzles, going to bed with insect repellant on, anthisan cream in the morning for new bites....I don't even think the cats have many if any at all now, just can't seem to get rid from the house...help!!
Get a pest controller in to treat the property properly, its cheaper in the long run as they will guarantee their work if you pick the right one.
cheers RATTER guess that's my best plan, found one in my car this afternoon :o( thats it, I've had enough of them...gonna check out how much assassination costs! Sorry for hijacking your thread paulakea....hope you get rid of yours too
if u live in the uk u can now buy frontline online much cheaper than from the vet (legally), its the best thing for fleas
I too hate litter tray smell. When my cat was a little kitty we tried many different cat litters in the hope to find one with less smell and we did! Sainsbury's clumping cat litter absorbs pretty much all the smell!!! Because it forms clumps when wet it stops smell from escaping (or at least that's my take on what's happening). You don't need to use odouriser with it either.
