"Asked about her own leadership style, Badenoch said she aspired to be a "fun" leader and would try to bring some "humour" and "light-heartedness" to her approach."

That's a lot to manage from a very short run-up.

I've always seen her as a fun girl.

Well Liz Truss was bundle of laughs 😁

But she's just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let her be misunderstood

Tra lah lah lah....

For the future of the most wonderful United Kingdom.  With Badenoch leader of the Tories &  Starmer leading  Labour, along with Lamy as foreign secretary: - what could possibly go wrong?

I tend to share your pessimism K. As I've said on several posts in the past, "Where are the giants of yesteryear?"

just hope it's Jenrick

Badenoch and Jenrick are (ahem) bad and badder, I'm just not sure of the order ...

> "Where are the giants of yesteryear?"

Bring back Ken Clarke ... he's only 84!

Bring back Tony Blair he's only 71

If John Smith had lived,i reckon he would have still been Prime Minister yet.A modern day Attlee who would have seen off the likes of Blair and Corbyn and Cameron and the Millipede brothers years ago.Sigh.

Only Boris or Nigel could turn the tide for the Conservatives.
