In anticipation of the 2nd series of Wolf Hall, i watched the final episode of series 1, just to bring myself up to date. While watching that final episode, i couldn't help but think they'd do well to match such a level of brilliance - both script and acting.

Well, they managed alright! That first episode was superb, imho, and once again, Rylands was both understatedly menacing and compassionate on equal measure.

My only gripe is that the entire series is not available on iplayer, so i have to wait a week between episodes. I could, of course, wait until all the episodes have been aired on BBC 1, but i'd be missing out on a weekly treat.

I agree with the quality.  Only thing that jarred for me is that it pandered to the modern insistence on anachronistic 'colour-blind' casting.

It looks to be yet another "must-not-miss" excellent series.

I think that the BBC avoids putting such major, top quality series on iPlayer until after episodes have aired weekly.

I fell asleep.

More lighting enables us to see much better, the magnificent costumes. Though doubtless historically correct the first series was too gloomy in parts, And the jarrring imitation fires in grates are now more realistic.

Is there going to be a 2nd series Ken?

Barsel...the first episode of series 2 was on Sunday night.

Thanks Pasta. Which station is it on? I hope it isn't one I don't have.

Found it. Going to watch it on catch-up.Thanks Pasta.
