I appreciate your answer and this is how I got my answer but in the article that I mention there is the "x" which is what puzzles me.

In maths, X Y and Z are often used in equations as unknowns.

In this instance they're referring to Z.

So they are using both "x" and"z" when in fact they should only use"z".

I'm sorry yes i misread and didn't realise you were asking about an answer given by another site.

I'd suggest whoever posted that answer was incorrect, it doesn't make sense to me.

I presumed a mistaken use of the two terms but then thought I was missing something. I am now content with my original thought.
