There's been many contestants who have used a lifeline to get to the 1k

Just in my defence as get prickled when called out for something I didn't do - my age remark was about Knickerbocker Glory, despite barry thinking the whole world must have read Harry Potter (I haven't) and I stick by it. The are not many cafe's, ice-cream shops, restaurants or shopds where you can see 'kickerbocker Glory' on the menu. 

 

I didn't say anything about age and Topiary rather that it's a specialist gardening term and city/apartment dwellers, or anyone without a garden might not have come across it.

The argument that's it's general knowledge I agree with but when are people taught that now?

Wouldn't have got a chance, I've sorted it  heard of the causeway coast, but I couldn't have told anyone where it was to save my life. 

And if you're going to do a 50/50, then keep quiet about what you think it might or might not be.

How many would have got the BMW question right?

BMW is well known, MG not so much!

Bayerische Motoren Werke, would have been more correct. And I know MG and AUDI.

In English it's Bavarian Motor Works.

He must have guessed the fastest finger first...

I knew the BMW question and I know what MG stands for
