i'm delighted that he's stepping away. i only watch the professionals one and it always improves whenever he isn't on it.

Weird what the BBC see as inappropriate behavior and what the don't see as inappropriate behavior.

Some say that making sexualised comments to Kirsty Wark is a sad and forlorn gesture, possibly done so as not to leave anyone out.

Not me of course.

He is sooo creepy, especially when he grins .....

Doesn't surprise me at all.  Many years ago he had a cooking spot at the Dundee Flower and Food Festival.  He was late - his excuse was that he was sha**ing in his hotel.  Never watched him again.

I've never liked him, but took a particular dislike to him after one weekend he appeared in the Times or the like describing his day.

Sir Rod Stewart has made a comment on this.  Even better, he called him Greg! 😂

Repulsive bloke.

Good to see the back of him.Paid far too much for talking garbage.

I met him at work once and he seemed quite nice to me.  He wasn't feeling very well at the time so maybe he was quieter than usual. A friend of mine encountered him at a food show though and thought he was a bit of a prat.  I think he's more unprofessional than anything but what did they expect when they employed him?

Not really.  He seems to be a 'who you know not what you know' 'personality'.

However, it sounds as if it was the usual crude 'banter' that was accepted years ago, even though women squirmed and hated it, so possibly (just possibly) he didn't understand that it was unacceptable.

The easily offended cancel culture, back stabber's at it again.

what was once tolerated by the sensitive, now is unacceptable.

Jimmy Savile was vile, Gregg is just a mouthy greengrocer who's face fitted, for a while.

It's right it should be looked at, but I think women presenters get away with more than males do. It seems acceptable for some female presenters to talk about male eye-candy or similar comments about 'hunks'. The other day Loraine Kelly thanked Ben Fogle for wearing shorts so she could see those thighs. Loose Women is another example. I quite often hear female presenters making 'what's not to like' comments ina  'nudge nudge' sortt of way about males.
