Laptop Virus

I don't know what I did but my laptop has  virus. How can I fix this? It says Microsoft security alert, your window is blocked because your computer is  infected with trojan viruses and it is infecting Microsoft servers, please call support immediately and do not shut down or restart your computer because it will spread the viruses more and all of your data will be deleted

Ellie, I experienced similar a few months ago and, realising it was a scam, I rang the real Microsft where a guide took me through what to do to get rid of the message - I cannot remember just what I did, sorry.

Do the control alt delete.

Then select 'shutdown'

It's a really obvious scam.

First thing to do is mute your sound.

Run whatever antivirus is installed on your PC.

(In the unlikely event you have no anti-virus software installed then use a free online one.)

Then run (or download, install, then run) the free version of Malwarebytes.

Thanks OG and Barry, I'm just too nervous with anything to do with technology so I left it with a person who fixes computers . Also, OG I wouldn't have been able to run an antivirus as it was completely frozen
