Elected with only 20% of the vote he's doing his best to ignore the democratic will of the majority.

What will he have to give away to get them to let us back in? Abolish the pound? More dosh than ever before? Capitulate to every silly rule they have in Brussels?

this would be an extremely foolish and destructive thing to do. i don't think starmer will attempt it but if he does then i truly despair. hy yes i think rejoining now would require us to join the euro and go without the opt-outs we secured while we were members. more importantly it would reopen the wounds left by the 2016 referendum and see this...

Some citizens think a government of any flavour should be mirroring the expressed view of the majority, as this is supposed to be a democracy. If a group such as the EU tries to bully our nation, as the EU continually has, then the government ought to push back, not capitulate.
