I do enjoy selco but obviously I have to leave because they have reduced my hours but I don't feel ready to leave. I definitely think more hours is out of the window now someone from another store has started on checkout

You tell us Abbey. Only you know if you are capable of those requirements. If you have any doubts or aren't absolutely positive...then the answer is 'no'.

I expect some speed would also be necessary.

that JD sounds like putting things in boxes.  If you dont feel up to that i honestly cant think of a more basic job that you could do

Sorry, Abbey, I think that job would be beyond you - I'm not sure you have the required skills.

I think it would be worth applying for. Doesn't sound like anything too difficult. Are you better with measuring as I thought you mentioned a small problem with this at Selco? You could always buy a tape measure and have a practice to get more confident and accurate.

Do you have Gce pass in Maths or is that not needed? They may ask you to do a counting or measuring task at interview.

Can you:

assist customers on the phone

stand for long periods

lift 20 pounds

I'm not sure about these 3 aspects. Is it full time, because the other day you weren't sure you could work 2 part time jobs.

That's very simliar to the full time job you were actually offered about a month ago and after reams of discussion on here you turned it down and added reams about whether people at Selco knew or should know or care. Whatever you keep saying you are not mentally prepared to do a full time job.

It states its a packing job.

Can you lift 20lbs - on a previous post you said you can't do any heavy lifting and would have to get someone to do it for you.

It says a watermelon weighs about 20lbs so that is do-able, if Baby can lift one in Dirty Dancing!

20lbs is just over 9Kg. A large bag (20 L) of Catsan cat litter weighs 8kg and it's heavy I can tell you. See if you can find it in a local supermarket and test it. I wouldn't want to be lifting it regularly, I can only drag that cat litter bag across the floor when it's full.

Abbey, are there no factories in your area that employ people on production lines?

Don't worry location to far

TF Solutions opens in Feb/March.

I can only see 2 jobs available for Tf solutions in Cardiff and they would not be for you. One is driver/warehouse assistant and other is warehouse supervisor. Have you seen something else?

Question Author

No so would need to be just warehouse assistant or checkout

Abbey, you've wanting a warehouse job for about two years now - and there doesn't seem to have been any! Shouldn't you consider other options - 'other industries' as you mentioned a few days ago?  Time's passing and you seem to be mired in a procession of part-time jobs that don't pay very well, don't lead anywhere.

Question Author

I don't know weather you need a driving licence to work in TF solutions

yes I think you should go for it
