Trump Signing Executive Orders
In this video, Trump clearly has no clue what he is signing – each time asking some flunky to explain the executive order. In signing one of the executive orders (giving pardons) he does not know how many are being given pardons (with the flunky falsely claiming that they are all peaceful protesters).
Had I been the flunky, after Trump had signed an executive order – I would have announced that he had just signed his own death warrant, just to see his reaction.

I think he also knows he has a team that is fully supportive at the moment, he has a mandate for the next 4 years and can afford to look at the wider picture and not get bogged down in detail or worry about the odd mistake.
My mate Phil has no input to the reports, which are very technical in nature – depending on the company’s internal process, some of the reports I sign off are then signed off by another.
It is rare, but sometimes it happens that an error is discovered in a report having two sign offs, resulting in the report being corrected and re-issued.
I believe that Trump only operates by word of mouth (bit like a Mafia boss). Apparently he can't read anything longer than a tweet, and his nudgers make sure they are the last one to speak to him before he announces anything of import. He probably will not last much longer. If the 'third term' amendment gets through we might see a modification that lets him nominate his successor. Interesting times ahead.
So, the questions remain: do you think the 30 delegates who signed the Lisbon Treaty read every word of the very copy they signed before putting their signature to it? Do you think the King does likewise with all the Acts of Parliament he is required to authorise? You never know. A rogue lackey might have slipped in the odd unwanted paragraph.
Or is it only President Trump you would criticise for "signing blind" in this way.
Whatever the answer to those questions, I hope you'll agree that to compare the signing of State documents by a Head of State (especially in a ceremonial setting) to your employer's sign-off requirements for control purposes, is just a little ridiculous.
"Why do you say that Khandro?"
Well I am thinking on similar lines. Whilst it may not be the most absurd ever, it must rank high on the list of absurdities. For my reasoning, I quote from my earlier answer:
"... to compare the signing of State documents by a Head of State (especially in a ceremonial setting) to your employer's sign-off requirements for control purposes, is just a little ridiculous."
I quoted two examples of documents being signed where it was clearly neither practical nor desirable to expect the signatories to read the entire document before signing it. Answer came there none.
What we got was absurdity v2.0, where the wording on one of the documents was forensically dismembered, suggesting that The President should have got involved in a discussion in advanced embryonics before signing.

I have asked the Ed to label this thread as "Gormless class 3 tending on 4"
( King Charles reading every word of a bill he is about to sign - and from a judge - Oh Gawd!)
