vv vv  variable

CXR - a tenth miilli-sievert

2  doodahs for head cat scan

40 for an abdo scan

( general pop in  Horishima got 0.1 mS 1945)

Doses of radiation - are measured in heat generalated by  the  X ray in a volume

but hey hold it - weak radiaiton may heat to the same  extent as mutagenic zingy zangy zongy mega radiation

yup

Hence change from Sievert - multipier applier to the heating value to take this into account

to Gray - erm - multipier applier to the heating value to take this into account.

but why?

I have had 60 Gy to my pelvis 1999, 40 Gy to orbit 2020 and 60 gy to jaw

which is 160 gy ( fractionated) or 160 000 mGy

( I was gonna say that is too small)

which iis equiv to 1,600,00o CXR

foo, a bit technical///
