From the link, "[Trump] has expanded on his demand that Gazans be moved to Jordan and Egypt, telling a Fox News anchor that they would not have the right to return home – a vision that, if enforced, would contravene international law.On Monday he said he might withhold aid to Jordan and Egypt if they did not take in Palestinian refugees."He's changed his,...

I really don't know, untitled.  I've visited some of the Palestinian refugee camps in surrounding countries and was left with the impression that no one wants them.  I honestly don't know what will happen.

“So is ethnic cleansing OK in some circumstances, or not?”

Depends.

“The question is, is the USA and/or Israel going to ethnically cleanse Palestinians out of Gaza, or not?”

Very unlikely. But if other countries are to continually bear the burden of incessant conflict between people who cannot get along with each other, it is not unreasonable to seek a longer term solution rather than simply spending billions of £££s or $$$s providing support and aid. That solution may involve chucking one lot of people out and relocating them elsewhere.

Either that or just leave them to get on with it. If that’s termed “ethic cleansing” then I am by no means shy to admit it. Personally rather than use such a highly emotive term I would prefer something like “pragmatic relocation”.

“And, if they are, would that be OK, or not…”

Personally I have no particular opinion on that question, one way or the other.

“- as in, what would you personally or Britain as a country do about it?”

Personally, since I’m not remotely concerned about it, nothing at all. As far as Britain’s reaction would go, I would like to think there are people in government who realise that the situation between Israel and their neighbours is intractable. Accordingly it is pointless spending any time trying to resolve it. But I'm not holding my breath.

Gaza looks to be all but uninhabitable at present. If people want to go back there they must be crackers if an alternative exists.

“Most other Palestinians are solely intent on achieving dignity, rights, and 'statehood', within the framework of international law.”

Unfortunately their views do not seem to hold sway. A large number of people would prefer Israel was wiped off the map and their “dignity, rights and statehood” seem to be just a by-product of that.

But there are victims and innocents as well as perpetrators on both side. Apportioning blame is pointless, as is trying to resolve the problem.

"regardless of the location of the palestinians"?

what should be done with them then in your view naomi?//

I would send them to your neighbourhood as you think so much of them, but a warning; it won't be reciprocated !

Also, large numbers to Ireland which has the distinction of being the most anti- Semitic country in Europe.

how would you feel about killing them all khandro

Question Author

Reading some of the posts it does appear that its a case of.. I'm alright jack, I couldn't care to hoots whats happening as long as its not happing in my back garden. We are all awear of what Hamas did, but to multiply the killing thousands of times over and over, and staving young children to death in the process is so very wrong, now we have Trump taking it even further it seems.

It won't be long before Trump helps finish off Ukraine, and that process I believe is already happening. So then we have another killing field, a lot larger than it already is. How would you feel about Putin getting his way and displacing more Ukrainians. Putin has been slaughtering now for 3 years but it appears we are happy to carry on ignoring it.

"...but it appears we are happy to carry on ignoring it."

So what do you suggest as an alternative to ignoring it?

Untitled: //how would you feel about killing them all khandro//

Why do you wear so much makeup and why are you still single? Is there something wrong with you?

KHANDRO, what is the relevance of your last post?

it's an example of a pointless question - as was untitled's

mine was a sincere question because i suspect that is what khandro wants or at least something he would be quite comfortable with. he turned down the opportunity to deny it so i consider that suspicion confirmed

//mine was a sincere question because i suspect that is what khandro wants [ killing all Palestinians ]or at least something he would be quite comfortable with. he turned down the opportunity to deny it so i consider that suspicion confirmed//

I think I'll leave that to stand for all to see and ponder.
