OK I have a motorcycle for sale on Ebay, I received an offer for the asking price (odd no 1). The buyer is in the Isle of Man (odd no 2). I messaged them back saying I would accept the offer ( I have not actually accepted via Ebay) but I was concerned that they were in the IOM. Got a reply saying  "After I have paid for it. I can iorganise people" - (odd no 3) - I replied saying "are you not going to come and see it?". The buyer has over 3000 transactions and is 100%.

OK so what's the scam here? I can't see it but my scam sensors are on red alert.

10:26 interesting, some similarities there.

Not sure when the new ebay payment rules come in but I`m wondering if people will find a way to abuse them.  It used to be that the money came through to the seller when it has cleared through ebay but from what I understand, the seller will now get paid upon delivery of the item.  I wonder how many people will claim their delivery didn't arrive?

With vehicles though most pay outside of ebay. The person comes has a look and then pays via IB.

Also Ebay have stopped using paypal.

A reply of "on your bike" will sort it.

Tora when did eBay stop using PayPal I've not heard about that. I used it only a week ago.

I think sellers can't specify paypal as their payment method any longer but buyers CAN select it as a payment option.
