In 1957 UK, would it have been possible for my eleven year old (almost 12) relative  to have given birth to me using HER mother's name, then her father officially registered her mother as my mother? All were aware of the subterfuge. My DNA aligns with the younger generation causing confusion in my family tree. Although I began as a home birth due to complications my birth was completed at Oldchurch Hospital. Some staff must have witnessed this birth by a child. Would it have been possible for the birth mother to use another's name? The family became dysfunctional and constantly moved to other far flung places. My background is full of secrets that don't add up.

O_G...the OP says "all were aware of the subterfuge ", and that the child's mother was officially registered as the parent of the OP. I'd think anything is possible.

As mentioned in the article...

//Data on adolescent pregnancy (between the ages 10 and 14) is difficult to find...//

...and that's now, with better record keeping.

Anything's possible when someone goes to Auntie Elizabeth's for the summer.

Unsure the subterfuge is relevant as to whether an 11 year old gave birth. Still seems unlikely to me.

It would have been easy had it been a home birth, extremely unlikely for a hospital birth
