Is The Public Expecting Too Much...

In 1957 UK, would it have been possible for my eleven year old (almost 12) relative to have given birth to me using HER mother's name, then her father officially registered her mother as my mother? All were aware of the subterfuge. My DNA aligns with the younger generation causing confusion in my family tree. Although I began as a home birth due to complications my birth was completed at Oldchurch Hospital. Some staff must have witnessed this birth by a child. Would it have been possible for the birth mother to use another's name? The family became dysfunctional and constantly moved to other far flung places. My background is full of secrets that don't add up.
