I can see that this is bhindi, which is a type of okra but how is it derived please? Is 'hard Indian' 'hi' or 'hind'?. Thanks, Sam

I think it's Bindi, the round mark (dot on forehead?) with H, hard inside (surrounds) . Bhindi, Indian okra.
