One of Doc's better efforts but has Doc made a mistake in the conflict between 6d (Order of redundancies of camping equipment) and 13a (Scottish bird sports new supporting items on the way in)?  Hmm

Definitely not lilo. Should be filo or lifo, neither of which make sense in this connection.

Chambers gives the following definitions for LILO/Lilo

1. last in, last out (a rough guide to likely order of redundancies).

2. an inflatable mattress, often used in camping, etc.

13 across could parse as DOO (Scottish dove, chambers) and an anagram (new) of sports

LILO is an inflatable mattress.

LILO = last in, last out is also used in computer programming when deciding the next position in a stack is used to take a variable from the stack and transfer it to working storage.

LIFO is more likely for redundances = last in, first out. It  is usual to make most recently employed before longer-serving staff.

LIFO is also used in computer programming as above in different circumstances.

LILO  seems just as valid for the clue, for  redundancies - as Chambers says, 'last in, last out( a rough guide to likely order of redundancies'. And that, of course, would enable the camping equipment part to work. The Lilo/doorposts clash is bad enough, Lifo would give even more problems!

Yes Bozzer, I think everyone agrees that DOORPOSTS should be the answer (parsed the way you have shown)  but it clashes with LILO, hence the suggestion that doorplate may have to go in the grid
