Boot Lock Replacement Nissan Qashqai

Can any bright spark find how to replace the boot lock on a nissan qashqai 2011 - all my searches are coming up for replacing the boot handle!

I want to see if I can do it myself before the garage charge me £150 plus parts for a small job.

I always buy a Haynes Workshop Manual for my cars; they usually deal with some bodywork jobs. Have a look in Halford's if you can (sometimes they're cellophane wrapped) and buy one if it looks useful.

I am only planning on keeping it another 6 months max so didn't really want to buy a manual - was hoping to find it online but for the life of me I can't!

I would just wing it - get the trim panel off & see how the mechanism is fixed, probably a couple of bolts & an electrical connection? Bit awkward to do 'cos you will effectively be working above your head.

I dont have one but I accecepted the challenge and had a look. 
Apparently it is the same mechanism as used on a Micra amnd that does have a YouTube video.

removal of the trim panel should be straightforwards.

Its only £20 for the replacement lock so really didn't want to be stung with a £200 garage bill.
