Though the attack by Hamas in October was truly cowardly, merciless and reprehensible, it shouldn't give Israeli forces carte blanche to discharge their weapons when there is an obvious danger to innocent civilians.
That is my standpoint, based on the orders we had to abide by in Ulster. Not all service personnel are marksmen.
Here we go again. Obfuscate, deflect, excuse ... it's pathetic.
Two wrongs don't make a right, they make two wrongs - and if those two wrongs come are perpetrated by two different parties, then both parties are in the wrong. So the only way anyone can say that the IDF did nothing wrong is to say that what they did was not wrong, not that somebody else did it.
^Sorry to say this to you two,but the original blame and only blame for all these deaths in the Middle East lie fairly and squarely on the Hamas attack on 07/10/2023.No Hamas terrorist attack and all these innocents would still be living. The Hamas terrorists are all directly/indirectly responsible for all these deaths.
For a start, this killing was in the West Bank, not Gaza. But that's by the by. What I'm saying is that if the IDF kills an innocent child, then the fault is the IDF. Other nations are at liberty to prioritise responding to deter such behaviour, with any incidental injury to the public being the responsibility of those who kicked off.
OG, the first thing you do when 'contact' is made is to seek immediate cover. Not stand there returning gunfire with an enemy who is no doubt firing from their own cover.
And, it is extremely difficult to ascertain exactly where the shots are being fired from. Therefore it is just as extremely difficult to know if you are returning fire in the correct directon.
I wonder if those soldiers responsible for the death of the young lad don't wish they had taken a few more seconds before returning fire.
