Interesting Ways To Feed Garden Birds

We have been feeding birds in our garden for years and love it.  We are lucky that we get a really good selection of them.  We put out peanuts, sunflower seed, mixed seed, niger seed and fatball and suet blocks and appropriate kitchen scraps.

In Storm Eowyn we lost a mature cotoneaster which was covering a big wall (approx 21ft x 7ft).  We used to hang some feeders on it but now that it is gone, we have a bit of a blank canvas.  So I'm looking for inspiration on ways to use the wall to feed lots of different birds.

I know I can attach brackets to it and hang the feeders from them, but I'm trying to think of something a bit more unusual!

Thanks

Do you not get cats trying to kill your lovely birds shivvy?

Yes I have seen trellises Khandro but not sure they would work on such a big wall.

Ladybirder - up until recently we have always had dogs so have never been bothered by cats!

Better to replant with more berry bushes, also some sense growing ones to grow into potential nest sites

Sense!!! Slow

Cats don't only kill birds;  I've just seen one slinking across the field behind my house with a mouse in its mouth.

If you have squirrels you might want to feed the birds without feeding the squirrels - they can strip a bird feeder very quickly.

Hanging baskets high on the wall with bird feeders suspended below it can solve the problem.

I know they don't Khandro.  Next door's cat was trying to catch a squirrel one day.  Squirrel won.

One day I saw it lying flat and motionless in my border watching a Blackbird starting to dig for a worm.  My garden hose and me saved the bird.
