Had the banana split martini in a pub in Edinburgh - it was so sweet and yuck that I spent the rest of the evening being very ill!

We used to make brandy Alexander a lot,much nicer than Bailey's

No but I like the sound of "The Grasshopper" - anything minty goes down well for me. 🍷

No I managed about half of it - then started getting the 'too sweet symptoms' so stopped drinking then.

Barry, I've got a half bottle of Bailey's which has been opened and in my fridge for ages, possibly 1.5 to 2 years?  Is it drinkable?  A friend and I had a sniff of it yesterday as another friend who is coming on Thursday says she'll take it home with her.  It didn't smell bad at all but I am reluctant to  let her have it. I like her very much and I don't want to make her ill .... or worse!!

It'll be fine, I promise. I've kept open Bailey's in my kitchen cupboard for longer than a year and drunk it without problems. 

A good shake is all that is needed

Hazlinny, anything with mint in it makes me gag.  But I can happily suck ona mint toffee.  Odd?

I've had brandy Alexander & the grasshopper. Both very delicious.

I've had the Baileys Martini but prefer to mix Baileys with whisky. Most of those are too sweet for me.

I wouldn't drink very old opened Baileys, it goes lumpy for starters (yuk).  Bailey's themselves though say it lasts 2 years after opening. I can't open the link but I see Brandy Alexander mentioned - to show off I'd say it's delicious and the best place to drink it is on a hot sunny day at a Maldives beach bar, that's when I last enjoyed one.

I've not had a brandy Alexander in ages...yum. I also like the Baileys martini...anything with Baileys suits me. Most of the others sound way too sweet. Banana or mint don't appeal.
