Penderyn

McCallan

Jura especially the Sherry cask matured

The English whiskey company Smokey and Sherry variants

Although I like trying new ones and I don't like blended ones as they all seem a bit bland.

Laphroaig, Talisker

The marmite one..Laphroaig.

Now drinking the el cheapo,ATM,

Bushmills 1litre..€12.

On offer at Tesco right now. Single malt, double cask Tamnavulin   ...   £22. Bargain.

I hope you enjoy that Webbo but it would be too "smokey" for me. I have tried, persevered even, to enjoy them but I don't. I had a lovely speyside from the exchange a year or so ago. It had been an "experimental" mash done 8 years earlier and the label on the bottle looked more like a chemists prescription label than a whisky bottle label but it was lovely. It sold out in a month and I had drunk it by then. I did wonder whether I should have "saved" it to see whether my £32 would be an investment then though    ...   naaghh and invested it in me.

I've never met one I didn't get on with.  Off the top of my head, I really like Laphroaig & Johnnie Walker Black Label.

I once got an American hammered on JW Black Label in an Edinburgh hotel bar LiK. We drank a full bottle between us. I am convinced to this day that he was one of the yankie agency "funnies". When he left the bar he walked out like he was swimming.

Looking at that Webbo , you will have to stick to doubles cos trebles are liable to be lethal.

Its very powerful stuff, but very very nice :-)

For the unitiated like me, I assume you can all tell the difference between all these brands? Don't take this the wrong way, I'm sure you all can but it does come across a bit like wine snobbery 🤣 - and I mean that in the best possible taste 🤣
