Good morning ! Sun is out bright & early, and shining away - looks wonderful in garden but I bet it's a tad nippy lol! Will definitely be getting some washing on the line, even ifI have to create some lol. (Only joking, there is always washing  to be done!). Still getting over the shock of postage prices yesterday - I decided not to post actual regular sized Easter eggs to grandchildren etc due to the presumed cost of the size of such things, and also the fact they'd probably get broken. So I did 4 x AA sized white padded jiffy bags(one for each house), and in each one I put an Easter card, and a selection of small  chocolates such as Malterer mini individual bunny, some Cadburys  mini eggs etc etc..... each bag was no thicker than an inch and a half. Got to P.O to get them posted - £4.99 EACH!! That's £20 to post 4 Jiffy bags! Even the guy behind counter apologised lol. Would have been cheaper to drive to Norfolk and deliver them by hand!
After that shock today will involve trying to catch up on a few work things and then decide whether to do anything special for Easter Sunday dinner wise, seeing as it's just us 2.

Whats  everyone else's plans today? X

Good morning. It is a lovely sunny day here in Norfolk. I know what you mean about the cost of postage stamps, i just sent off my Easter cards and the price was steep. This morning i am going to a financial appointment and will do some laundry in the afternoon in readiness for back to work tomorrow after my days off.

Not so good on the weather front at the moment, supposed to be brightening up later.  Had a good walk yesterday, will try to get another this afternoon as rain forecast to be returning tomorrow.

Other than that the supermarket this morning.  No washing to go out today, did 2 machine loads yesterday during half price electric.

Looks like I have an expensive month in May postage wise, 6 cards to post, 2 of them abroad.

Morning, glorious sunshine here but freezing.

It cost £3.40 to post the MIL card to Norfolk plus the £5 to purchase - I just about dropped dead on the spot although that would have made her day - so I stayed standing!!

I have some paperwork to do today so will crack on with that once the conservatory warms up a bit as its very pleasant working in there.

Morning William, ubasses & DDIL. Yep the price of postage is killing things for sure. I dread to think what it would have been if I'd have tried to post actual regular sized Easter eggs! So many people I know just refuse to send cards these days, opting for E-cards etc, although of course it isn't the same.

For everyone else I tend to use a card service like moon pig (other providers are available) but she doesn't like them so we still have to send a 'proper' card.

Keep giving in to her over silly little things like that and she'll keep bullying you, DDIL.

I bought some lovely Easter cards from my local 'bargain basement' shop for £1.50 each.

It's bloomin' cold here, but sunny so can't complain.  We badly need rain, haven't had any for weeks, it seems.

Morning Barry. Yeh I found a pack of Easter cards that I'd bought last year and not used so I used those lol. Only had to wait a year to use them!

I've got a lot of Christmas cards ready to send, some must be years old, just left over from multi packs.

Me too Barry.  I keep a list inside the pack of the people I have sent one of the cards to and which year.  As long as I send them a few years apart they forget they've had them before.  Well at least I think they do.
