Religion really is the opium of the people. They are dependent upon it, it's a basic  foundation for many. It comforts and helps those with depression and anxiety. Unfortunately, it's also a man made myth, a powerful placebo that controls the response system of very many. ingrained from birth. The hierarchy that feeds upon this false indoctrination is very big business. Ruthless, cunning, power, and money based. The pathway to a fabricated hell is often paved with good and greedy intentions.

no disrespect to the late pope as i did not know hom personally, probably a nice in real life, bit he's just a nominated figurehead or ceo of a worldwide business, the church has done a lot of good, but a lot of really really bad stuff over the centuries and a lot im sure goes on even today, but if it gives people solace more power to them, i do think priests should be allowed to marry as it's antiqated and unhelpful and damn right mean.
