My father used to shave with an electric razor but I have always enjoyed a wet razor, the using of shaving foam and Gillette razor is a morning ritual. How do others shave?.

I have been using the same disposable razor for 20 shaves so far! My secret, I dry my razor using a hair dryer after every shave.!

I don't. But in my youth I've tried both methods.

Usually wet shave but if I'm in a hurry, an electric razor but if course it's not as good.

Wet, tried electric twice, Philips rotary, and Remington, both brought me out in a rash. Gillette razor and Gel.

I use a philishave. I used to use a wet razor but the price of blades was taking the peace. I have now been using the electric for 30 years and it cost me £40. It's not as good as wet but good enough. I have the odd wet shave.

Blade _ Shaver ... becamae very brisk I let her decide.

Wet

Never felt clean using an electric razor

I find it a tedious job, so always reluctantly, but wet when I do.

Soap & water, old style razor* with Wilkinson Sword blade, every other day.

*disposables/fancy multi-blades are expensive & polluting

Only ever used Philips electric. I now have a top-of-the-range model which shaves every bit as good as the old-fashioned way.

My dad used to take ages shaving, up to an hour sometimes.

It was what he was doing when he had a fatal heart attack - my mum found him when she came back from the shops

I suffered with spotty facial skin ever since my teenage years.  Then, a few years back, I read that for some men it's possible to get too close a shave, leading to ingrowing hairs (and the spots that go with them).  So I switched from wet shaving to using an electric razor (and also not bothering to shave at all on some days).  The problem that I'd been living with for over half a century soon got much, much better!

My father was much the same.  My mother and I knew that when he said "I'm just going for a quick scrape", we wouldn't be able to get into the bathroom for ages!

My dad also seemed to believe that razor blades had some sort of maical healing power.  He'd use the same Bic single-bladed disposable razor twice a day for about a fortnight (thus getting roughly 30 shaves from one disposable razor).  Then, rather than throw it away, he'd put it in the bathroom cabinet to 'heal', as he swore that the blade would recover enough for yet more shaves if he left it alone for the next fortnight!

Once a month electric beard trimmer.

My barber comes to my home about every 6 weeks to cut what hair I have left.  While she's here she trims the beard.

When I did shave I used Wilkinson blades and soap.

Is your avatar not really you then chico?  I thought it was but it can't be if you say you are much more clean shaven nowadays.  😆
