hi,my son is 14 and im looking for appropriate films to buy him for xmas, recent coming of age films would be good,,he likes stand by me,lost boys,,from my day lol,,and he likes comedy, but a good boy film would be appreciated, thank you if you are able to give me some ideas.
thanks devilwoman, but hes seen all of those lol, thats why im struggling to think of any.hang on hes not got or saw empire of the sun,,neither have i come to think of it,ill ,google it to see what comes up ,,thanx again.oh yeah weve got school of rock ,it is very good.
Last Christmas when my son was 14 he wanted (and got!) DVDs of The Italian Job (the original) and Enemy of The State starring Will Smith. I wouldn't really call them coming of age films, but he really enjoys them!
well thankyou, spud queen, lost boy i shall try some of those suggestions, and no lost boy i dont mind the nudity bit, after all the hormones are raging, its only natural.
This is going back a bit (1970s) but he would probably like American Graffiti, and possibly The Last Picture Show if he wants something a little more thoughtful.
Try Empire Records! Its an amazing film set in a record store in america. Lack of money threatens closure and a bunch of teens (including rene zellweger and liv tyer) raise money to keep it open! Lots of famous people in it with an amazing sound track! Really worth a look. Good Luck!
