ANIMATED GIFS

HI, Sometime, when I want to save an animated gif (*.gif), in the "save as" box, I can only save it as a BITMAP (*.BMP) file. A friend of mine sent me a gif as an attachment via OUTLOOK express. When I want to save it, I had that problem, altough the attachment is .gif! ... I could only save it as a BITMAP (bmp). She sent it again via HOTMAIL and I could save the file as a .gif (animated gif). Some explanations??? THANKS.

Hi! Try to open the files in an external program (Paint?) and then save them in a different format. Cheers, PD

THANKS.. But the problem is if I do that the animation is lost and it becomes a "still" image" i.e. no more animated... I very strange case hu???:))))
